OpenED Ltd was founded in 2019 to provide support to adults who are struggling in daily life and employment due to being Neurodiverse (e.g. Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, Autism) or having literacy difficulties. Since then, we have helped many individuals to improve their skills, learn strategies and gain qualifications, employment or promotion.
We also provide a consultancy and training service to support with inclusive access and reasonable adjustments in education or in the workplace, and offer advocacy to parents of children and young people with additional needs.
Helen Redman (Managing Director) has managed Inclusion Teams in Further and Higher Education for 20 years, providing support for young people and adults with a range of needs and abilities, and training for teams across the sector.
She holds the following qualifications:
- BA (Hons) Education
- Certificate Competency in Educational Testing (CCET)
- OCR Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia/SpLD
- British Sign Language Level 2.
- British Dyslexia Association registration
- DSA SFE supplier registration
- Mental Health First Aider
